We lost our 26-year-old son to suicide in 2023. I thought I understood what grief was, but I had never experienced it like now. There is truly nothing worse than lowering your child into the ground and covering them with dirt. No matter what your spiritual beliefs are - it is unnatural to bury your children.The concept of a memorial QR Code is brilliant. The plaque itself is very well made and solid. It attaches to a headstone via very sticky tape. You scan the code and create an account. From there you walk through the process of setting up the memorial. You can add photos, videos and audio. There is no limit and it can be updated and added to later. This creates a "living" memorial rather than just a stone, that can better capture who the person was.I wish I didn't need this. It is hard to try and sum up a life and grieve the loss at the same time. I'm grateful that you can start with a minimal amount and then add to it later and not have to "complete" it before you turn it on for others. With this generation, this really is a must have item. His friends were asking us about doing a QR Code when we didn't even know such thing existed.This one comes boxed very nicely as well and would be a great gift for a someone who has experienced a loss. There is no time frame on grief. Even if someone has been gone for a while, their family still misses them and no one "moves on" they just move forward. Loved ones will always be loved so they will always be missed. This is a lovely way to keep their memory alive.
